Read the guideThey're settlements that let you file a claim without a receipt or proof of purchase. You confirm on the form, under penalty of perjury, that you bought the product or used the service. Some cap how many purchases you can claim without proof. Claim tags every no proof settlement so you can filter for them.
Each settlement defines a class: people who bought a product, used a service or had an account during certain dates, sometimes only in certain states. Claim asks you a few quick questions about the brands you use and shows each settlement's official class definition, so you can see if it describes you before you file.
Tell Claim which companies, banks, apps and cars you've used. It matches you against every open settlement we've verified and sorts your matches by deadline. You can also browse all current class action settlements in Explore.
Filing a claim gets you a share of the settlement and releases your right to sue the company over the same issue. Opting out gets you nothing from the settlement but keeps your right to sue on your own. If you do nothing, you usually get nothing and still give up that right.
It depends on what the payment replaces. A refund of money you paid is generally not income. Payments for lost wages, interest or statutory damages generally are. Starting with 2026 payments, administrators generally send a Form 1099-MISC only when you receive $2,000 or more. This isn't tax advice, so check with a tax professional.
It depends on the settlement and how many people file. We show the amounts each settlement publishes, such as "$60–$5,000" or "Up to $12,500". When a payout is a pro-rata share of a fund, we label it "Share" instead of guessing a number.
After the court gives final approval and any appeals end. That's usually 3 to 12 months after the claim deadline. The administrator pays you directly by check, PayPal, Venmo or another method you chose on the form.
No. Filing on the official settlement website is always free, and class lawyers are paid from the settlement fund, not by you. Checking what you qualify for in Claim is free too, and we never take any part of your payment.
No to both. Claim is an independent app that organizes public settlement information. You always review and submit the claim yourself. It isn't legal advice and isn't affiliated with any company, court or claims administrator.
